- KING SOLOMON #5 BLAST -
Worshipful Master Duane Brown has called a meeting of lodge members only, to include DDGM Grant Hays, for Monday, April 3, 2017 to discuss the road ahead for our lodge.
The Worshipful Master will hold a very short stated meeting to be immediately followed by the members’ meeting. While all topics may not be covered in this meeting, the idea is to cover where we have been and are currently, what our vision is for King Solomon going forward, and what items need short-term attention.
This would include the progressive line for 2018. The meeting is expected to last between 60 and 90 minutes. We would like to encourage all members to attend as this will be an important meeting and your input will be sought and appreciated. Hope to see you there.

With modern irrigation systems, more potent fertilizers, bug and disease resistant seeds, advanced mechanized implements all coupled with the hard working American farmer, we are producing bumper crops of fruits and vegetables. Our nation and our North American Neighbors are far out producing our needs. Over production leads to serious problems with our environment as wasted food is the number one contributor to our landfills. In the year 2010, studies revealed that our nation wasted 133 Billion pounds of food. The methane gas from this dumped food could have fueled all the vehicles in the State of Georgia for a year. That’s a lot of gas.
So, if you would like to feed the hungry and keep the overproduction from effecting our environment, join your brothers at the Tombstone Food Bank on Thursday, April 20th at 8 AM for Food Distribution Day.
It is the Masonic thing to do.
